BRISTOL, RI– On Wednesday, October 28th, 2020, the Rogers Free Library announced that it now offers free outdoor Wi-Fi in its courtyard and parking area. This public service is available 24/7 to patrons and non-patrons alike. No password is required.
Earlier this month, Ocean State Libraries (OSL), a consortium of Rhode Island’s 48 public libraries and St. George’s School, was awarded $85,000 through CommerceRI’s “Take It Outside” initiative to support this project. As a member of this organization, Rogers Free Library was able to complete these improvements at no cost.
This Wi-Fi provides a valuable service to those who have limited internet access, are traveling, have experienced a residential power outage, or are doing work after library hours.
