Overall Responsibility
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, Weekend Manager, Director or Assistant Director, the Maintenance Crew member will ensure the upkeep of the parks, grounds, beach,
facilities and properties under the stewardship of the Department of Bristol Parks & Recreation.
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor
Duties
- Daily parks and grounds cleanup, litter removal, trimming, raking, weeding, painting, etc.
- As an employee, you are a representative of the Town of Bristol, and must greet and address the patrons and guests politely and properly, in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Maintenance Crew members will also assist lifeguards by inspecting the beach upon arrival for any holes, washed up debris, etc. Holes should be filled and debris removed
prior to the start of the beach day. - Maintenance Crew will also inspect the beach
throughout their shift, and at the end of their shift. - Assist the gate and parking attendants on an as needed basis.
- All other duties deemed necessary.
Requirements
- Proper attire provided by Bristol Parks & Recreation is required (neat and clean).
- Some weekend shifts and a July 4 shift required.
- Pay rate $13.00 and up (based on level of experience).
- Unless notified to the contrary, you must report at your assigned starting time regardless of weather.
- You will be paid on a bi-weekly payroll basis. Last pay check to be mailed or picked-up after Labor Day.
- You will be paid time and one half for all hours worked on July 4 (Independence Day).
