Street Light Outage

We treat street light outages as a priority. Darkened roadways and intersections can lead to motor vehicle accidents, or injured pedestrians. Additionally, well illuminated streets and roads lead to safer neighborhoods and are an inexpensive crime deterrent.

If you happen to notice a street light that is out; or one that is obstructed by heavy tree canopy, you can report it directly to the Bristol Department of Public Works. The D.P.W. is also interested in lights that cycle on and off, as well as those which remain on during the day which waste costly electricity.

You will need to provide the D.P.W.  the street where the pole is located, and the pole number located on the utility pole when you are reporting the damaged light.

Please use the following number to contact the Bristol Department of Public Works 401-253-4100, select option 4 to reach the on-call attendant.
