Emergency Management

Bristol’s Emergency Management Department works tirelessly throughout the year to help prepare for emergencies such as hurricanes, snow storms, power outages, and other natural or man-made disasters.

The Town of Bristol provides resources to help every resident prepare for the next emergency.

Get Alerted

In July 2015, the Town implemented CodeRED, an emergency community notification system. It is recommended that all residents sign up for this free service. To receive emergency notifications via phone call, text, or email from state or local authorities, please signup using the link below.

Report a Power Outage

During severe weather events, Bristol’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) coordinates with National Grid officials to get the power back on. In the event of a power outage, residents are advised to report their power outage directly to National Grid by calling 1-(800)-465-1212 or by clicking the link below.
