UPDATED: Bristol Winter Storm Information for February 25th, 2022

BRISTOL, RI- As of 02/25/2022 at 4:00 PM, the Town of Bristol will lift its parking ban.

Please Note: Cars that are parked in emergency lots must be moved within one hour of the parking ban being lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.

BRISTOL, RI-The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Bristol, Rhode Island from Friday, February 25th, 2022, at 12:00 AM through Saturday, February 26th, 2022, at 12:00 AM EST. Snow accumulation is forecasted to be between 3-6 inches, with wind gusts as high as 35 MPH.

In preparation for the winter storm, the Town of Bristol is taking the following precautions:

  • A parking ban will go into effect starting at 1:00 AM on Friday, February 25th, 2022, until further notice.
  • Trash & Recycling Collection will continue as planned for Friday, February 25th, 2022.
  • The Bristol Transfer Station will be closed Friday, February 25th, 2022.

During the parking ban, all vehicles must be moved off the street to accommodate emergency vehicles and crews.

BRISTOL, RI- Beginning tomorrow, January 29th, 2022, at 8:00 AM, the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center (101 Asylum Road, Bristol, RI 02809) will be open to residents as a Warming Center. Residents in need of transportation are encouraged to contact the Bristol Police Department at 401-253-6900.

The Town of Bristol advises residents to avoid any non-essential travel to allow for response crews to effectively clear roadways.

BRISTOL, RI-The National Weather Service has upgraded their weather alert to a Blizzard Warning for Bristol, Rhode Island from Saturday, January 29th, 2022, at 12:00 AM through Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at 12:00 AM EST. Snow accumulation is forecasted to be between 15-19 inches, with wind gusts as high as 60 MPH.

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.

BRISTOL, RI-The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Bristol, Rhode Island from Saturday, January 29th, 2022, at 12:00 AM through Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at 12:00 AM EST. Snow accumulation is forecasted to be between 12-18 inches, with wind gusts as high as 55 MPH.

In preparation for the winter storm, the Town of Bristol is taking the following precautions:

  • A parking ban will go into effect starting at 1:00 AM on Saturday, January 29th, 2022, until further notice.
  • A partial parking ban will go into effect at the Prudence Island Ferry Dock lot starting at 1:00 AM on Saturday, January 29th, 2022, until further notice. No parking will be available in the center area of the parking lot, and will be marked off with cones. Violators of this partial parking ban will be towed immediately.
  • The Bristol Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, January 29th, 2022.

During the parking ban, all vehicles must be moved off the street to accommodate emergency vehicles and crews.

BRISTOL, RI-The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Bristol, Rhode Island for tomorrow, January 7th, 2022, between 1:00 AM-7:00 PM. Snow accumulation is forecasted to be between 5-8 inches.

In preparation for the winter storm, the Town of Bristol is taking the following precautions:

  • Town Hall will have a 4-hour delayed opening on January 7th, 2022. Town Hall will be open from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM.
  • All classes and programs at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center have been cancelled for January 7th, 2022.
  • The Bristol Transfer Station will be closed January 7th, 2022.
  • A parking ban will go into effect starting at midnight (12:00 AM EST) tomorrow, January 7th, 2022, until further notice.

During the parking ban, all vehicles must be moved off the street to accommodate emergency vehicles and crews.

At this time, the Town is planning to collect trash and recycling as previously scheduled for Friday (01/07/2022).

Please Note: Due to the New Years holiday, trash/recycling collection is on a one day delay for the week of 1/3/2022. Residents that normally have their trash collected by the Town on Thursday will have it collected on Friday (01/07/2022). Residents that normally have their trash collected by the Town on Friday will have it collected on Saturday (01/08/2022).

BRISTOL, RI-The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Bristol, Rhode Island from tonight, December 16th, at 7:00 PM through tomorrow December 17th, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Snow accumulation is forecasted to be between 6-11 inches, with wind gust as high as 45 MPH.

In preparation for the winter storm, the Town of Bristol is taking the following precautions:

  • Bristol Town Hall and municipal offices will be closed tomorrow, December 17th, 2020.
  • Trash and recycling collection will still occur, but pick-up times may be later in the day due to weather conditions. In the event that trash is not picked up on Thursday, it will be picked up Friday.
  • A parking ban is in effect from 9:00 PM EST tonight, December 16th, 2020, until further notice.

During the parking ban, all vehicles must be moved off the street to accommodate emergency vehicles and crews.

BRISTOL, RI-The Town of Bristol is closely monitoring the movements of Tropical Storm Isaias as it makes its way up the east coast towards Southern New England. A Tropical Storm Warning is currently in effect as high winds and heavy rain are expected to arrive by Tuesday afternoon and continue into Wednesday. While the Town stands ready and prepared for any emergency, residents are asked to prepare in advance for possible power outages. Please tune in to local news and weather forecasts for any developments.
