BRISTOL, RI– On Friday, October 23rd, 2020, Governor Gina Raimondo and Rhode Island Commerce awarded the Town of Bristol an additional $25,000 to support local business efforts to ‘Take It Outside’. This competitive grant process saw a total of $3.1M awarded to 68 different organizations including municipalities, chambers of commerce, and non-profits.
Earlier this month, the Town of Bristol was awarded $75,000 through the first round of the State’s Take It Outside RFP.
To date, the Town of Bristol has supplied outdoor equipment including heating lamps and lighting to fifteen (15) local businesses.
The Town of Bristol is currently accepting new applications from businesses on a rolling basis. Equipment will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Businesses are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
